Joel Ford

Joel Ford started his career as a musician and producer. He has been living in New York since 2005. Since then, Ford has lent his musical (and vocal) talents to a number of projects. His collaborations with Dan Lopatin (Oneohtrix Point Never) as GAMES and later Ford & Lopatin—which found the pair re-appropriating outmoded keyboard sounds to make mangled art pop—situated him at the center of Brooklyn’s exploding electronic music scene.

As an executive, he co-founded the Software label, and more recently Driftless Recordings. Ford has worked with many artists as a producer, engineer, mixer and label boss: Autre Ne Veut, Oneohtrix Point Never, Harmonizer, Tamaryn, Megafortress, Napolian, Antony Hegarty, Ducktails, Com Truise, North Americans, and Young Ejecta are just a few of the projects Ford has lent his experience to.
